Fair for Voluntary work, Traineeship and Internships in Germany and abroad
On the 9th of may 2015 the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. is organising a fair for youth which topic will be: Volunteering and internship in the inland and abroad.
From 2pm to 7pm there will be representatives form different organisations and associations at the Marta-Fraenkel-Saal in the Hygiene-Museum Dresden. They will present their programmes to the students and pupils to inform them about the various options they have, to volunteer in Germany or countries all over the world.
Gaining practical experiences is getting more and more importante for todays young people. For those who diden't do an internship or a practical year in any other way it is quite difficult to land a job. Many youth want to work honorary or as a trainee after they finished school or university. But often it is not clear, to whom they have to approach, what groundwork you have to do and what kind of experiences you have to expect.
During the fair students shall get the opportunity to talk to responisble persons and to compare experiences with active volunteers to reduce incertitudes and fears. Furthermore the fair should show that there are many different possibilities to volunteer in many different sectors. As a participant in the program of a voluntary cultural/ ecological or social year everyone can get the chance to work in an area of his own interests.
The event is part of the project Democratic Ownership and Civic Partnership in Europe (DOCPIE) in which the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V cooperates with 14 european partnerinstitutions which are mentoring the volunteers in their homecountries. These partners will be at the fair aswell.
Time: 14:00-19:00 Uhr
