Erasmus+ Programme – KA1 Mobility for Youth Workers
Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. will send three participants to the training course ‘Go Digital’, organised by the Cypriot partner Seal Cyprus. The training course will focus on digital competences and media literacy which are closely related to, and both draw on, the core skill of critical thinking. Media literacy focuses on teaching young people to be critically engaged consumers of media, while digital competences enable young people to participate in digital media in a suitable, safe and ethical manner. Young Europeans, in general, lack adequate digital competences. Such competences are essential in ensuring that young people use digital technologies in a confident, critical, collaborative and creative way and can therefore achieve professional goals and increase their employability. Moreover, such competences are central to learning, leisure, inclusion and participation in society.
Thus, the training course “Go Digital” brings together youth workers and volunteers with the main aims of:
– Developing the digital competences and media literacy of the participants.
– Using Information Society Technology (IST) and Information Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to raise the effectiveness of youth work.
All the working activities aim at fostering intercultural learning and exchanges between participants. The training course is based on non-formal learning methods, which include practical exercises on digital tools, interactive lectures, audio-visual presentations, group discussion and self-assessment.
