Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. – JKPeV based in Dresden, Germany is an association engaged in the arts, culture and education on a local and European level. Our goal is to foster diversity and inclusion and promote active participation and civic engagement through different forms of art, digital media, cross-cultural exchange and non-formal education. The association is dedicated to training young people aged 16+, volunteers and professionals in youth, social and cultural work across Europe, thereby strengthening interdisciplinary and transnational cooperation. A special focus is given to young vulnerable people. To achieve our goal, we design and implement European funded projects mainly within the framework of which, we do research, we develop intellectual outputs, we coordinate training courses, seminars, conferences and events in the fields of adult education and youth work, human rights and justice, inclusion and integration, entrepreneurship and sustainability, civic participation and volunteering. We focus on the Europe-wide exchange of experiences and knowledge and strive to promote and actively shape a common Europe. In our modern and cosy space, we host an art gallery, the Full Moon Gallery with monthly art exhibitions as well as organise music and literature evenings supporting local and international artists.

in the field of
Project Management Assistance
full-time job (35-40 hours per week)
In this position, you will assist the project management team in the implementation of mainly European funded projects, you will promote JKPeV and its work and disseminate the results of JKPeV’s projects and you will sustain and further develop JKPeV’s local and international network.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- research work in various academic fields (inclusion, adult education, youth work, personal and professional development, entrepreneurship, human rights, active citizenship, migration and integration, cultural heritage etc.) including field work
- developing research papers and publications
- education and training material development in English and subsequent translation into German (curricula, lesson plans, trainers’ handbooks, learners’ workbooks, WebQuests, podcasts, video presentations etc.)
- organisation, preparation and implementation of workshops and events with different target groups
- designing and developing interactive presentations addressing different target groups
- updating the content of JKPeV’s website and social media channels in English and German
- assisting the project management team in project management processes (preparation of progress/dissemination/quality assurance/impact assessment reports, risk management plans etc.)
- maintaining and developing networks with local, regional and national stakeholders
- representing the association in conferences, seminars and projects domestically and abroad
- propagating project results through the development of digital content and the use of social media
- translating education materials, transcripts, research papers and texts from English into German and vice-versa
What we expect from you:
- a Bachelor degree in the fields of pedagogy, education, political science or other social sciences and ideally a Master degree in adult education/intercultural youth work
- at least 5 years of professional experience in youth, adult or political education or professional experience in a related institution
- excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
- proven experience in designing and developing education materials
- proven experience in facilitating and/or leading learning, teaching and training activities
- excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access)
- exceptional organisational skills
- multi-tasking, creative and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- a strong interest and ideally previous experience in EU funding programmes (in adult education, youth, art and culture, social inclusion and integration, human rights and justice etc.) is an asset
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds
- self-motivated and capable of hands-on problem solving
