The first intensive workshop on “Filmmaking skills for beginners”

  |   News

From 4-6 October 2021 the first intensive workshop on “Filmmaking skills for beginners” was successfully implemented by Jugend- und Kulturprojekt e.V. at KulturCentrale within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “ACTION – Unlocking the Talents of Marginalized Youth in a Digital Media Environment”. A group of highly engaged young participants completed this workshop led by two of our JKPeV trainers. Once the project’s priorities, goals, results and the e-learning platform were presented by the trainer, Jara Marder, then Olga Yocheva, who is a professional filmmaker of JKPeV, took over for the practical part of the training. Divided into small groups, the participants were introduced to all phases of a digital media production including for example writing a script, drawing a storyboard, shooting videos and using post-production software for cutting and editing. And the results are quite remarkable: at the end of the third day, each team was able to present their own short film with a duration of 3 to 5 minutes! The next opportunity to participate in one of our filmmaking trainings is coming up soon from 18-22 October 2021 – and there are a couple of available places!
