The free online course “Jewish Life and Modern Antisemitism in Germany, Greece, Poland and Serbia” developed by the Jewish Museum of Greece in cooperation with the Galicia Jewish Museum (Poland), Centropa (Germany), Terraforming (Serbia) and Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. (Germany) is designed for teachers, students, librarians, archivists, activists and anyone with a keen interest in the topic.
What you will learn:
- How Jewish communities emerged and flourished in different parts of Europe
- How Jewish identity has been formed based on oral testimonies of Holocaust survivors and second generation Holocaust survivors
- How antisemitism has manifested itself in different places in Europe
- The connection between antisemitism and the Holocaust and ways of debunking antisemitic myths.
This online course is flexible, interactive and allows you to learn at your own pace and engage with a variety of sources from Germany, Greece, Poland and Serbia.
It is available in English, German, Greek, Polish and Serbian.
