THE FUTURE IS GREEN Events of the RESCUE project at the KulturCentrale
As part of the RESCUE education project, the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. organised the RESCUE events entitled THE FUTURE IS GREEN on 10 and 14 December 2023 at the KulturCentrale and offered free training for youth workers, trainers and volunteers in youth and environmental organisations as well as a free workshop for young people on the following topics:
• The history of plastic (types, composition, use, evolution, etc.)
• The impact of plastic use on human health
• Green initiatives
• Find out more about the Green Ambassador Campaign and get involved!
On 10 December 2023, from 15:00 to 18:00, a THE FUTURE IS GREEN upcycling craft workshop and a Raise your Voice against Plastic presentation with a panel discussion took place at the KulturCentrale, followed by a Christmas art market with local artists.
On 14 December 2023, the FUTURE IS GREEN event took place at the KulturCentrale from 18:00 – 21:00. The local educational association specialising in sustainable lifestyles, Sukuma Arts, and Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. showed short documentary films about the impact of plastic on the environment, human health, animals and plants. This was followed by a panel discussion in the KulturCentrale with representatives from local environmental, youth and voluntary organisations. The Last Generation, a group of active citizens who repeatedly cause a stir with their local protest actions, then presented their mission and work.
