The “VEGA – Diving into European Youth Goals” training in Budapest (15-17 October) was an inspiring journey of energy and collaboration!

Day 1 Highlights:
Participants kicked off with icebreakers like Human Bingo and “Two Truths and a Lie,” fostering connections. We introduced the 11 European Youth Goals, focusing on five key goals for deeper exploration.

After lunch, the Portuguese team led a workshop on European Youth Goal #10: Sustainable Green Europe, featuring a grocery shopping simulation that highlighted sustainability’s impact. The day concluded with a reflection activity where participants shared their experiences through drawings.

 

Day 2 Highlights:
Day 2 brought new challenges!
We started with European Youth Goal #6, “Moving Rural Youth Forward”, brainstorming and creating collaborative art. The German team then presented EYG #8, “Quality Learning”, discussing barriers to education and solutions like scholarships. The day ended with the Italian team’s workshop on EYG #2, “Equality of All Genders”, exploring gender stereotypes through creative expression.

 

Final Day Highlights:
The final day was filled with inspiration!
We began with a workshop on EYG #9, “Space and Participation for All”, where participants designed a community center for a fictional town. Different approaches led to similar conclusions.
We also covered facilitation basics, emphasizing safe spaces and group engagement. Later, national teams planned upcoming peer exchanges based on previous workshops. The day ended with an evaluation, sharing key takeaways from our three days together.
