So, this was Hecht#Tag – FestivalHochDrei @KulturCentrale: a weekend full of music, creativity and community

  |   Events, News

From 29 to 31 August 2025, the intersection in front of the KulturCentrale in the heart of the Hechtviertel neighbourhood was transformed into a vibrant meeting place for culture, creativity and joie de vivre. For three days, neighbours, friends and guests from near and far celebrated together at the Hecht#Tag – FestivalHochDrei, which combined rousing concerts, colourful workshops, a diverse art and creative market and a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.

Hecht#WarmUp on Friday with sunshine, music and encounters

In front of the KulturCentrale, the weather was perfect and the atmosphere was exuberant for three days: people danced, laughed, struck up conversations and let themselves be carried away by music and creativity.

Friday evening kicked off the festival with a sunny start, already showcasing the special mix of music, encounters and Hechtviertel charm. From the first beats to rousing concerts, an atmosphere was created that immediately put visitors in the festival mood. Conversations mingled with laughter, people danced on cobblestones and… Bands and DJs such as Clinical Riot!, TrioMariza and Riley & Voltz provided a varied and inspiring programme.

Hecht#Day on Saturday @KulturCentrale

On Saturday, Hecht#Tag, it became clear just how much the festival can move people. In the afternoon, the participatory circus captivated young and old alike. With juggling, diabolo and a joy of playing, a place was created where families could laugh, learn and marvel together. The perfect musical accompaniment by various DJs such as Mando Mand:ela and Funky Forelle made the fun complete. Bands such as Zuckerbrot & Peitsche and Gracefull Fall also created an exuberant atmosphere.

The musical diversity on Saturday was complemented by creative workshops and the art and craft market, which invited visitors to browse, discover and exchange ideas.

In the evening, the energy level rose once again when Banda Comunale took to the stage. The Kulturinsel filled with people dancing exuberantly and getting carried away by the music. For many, this moment was the highlight of the weekend – an image full of community spirit, diversity and pure joie de vivre.

Hecht#ChillOut: A relaxed Sunday

Sunday was all about bringing Hecht#ChillOut to a leisurely close: Visitors gathered for a neighbourhood breakfast to start their Sunday morning together. The Hope Session thrilled the audience with spontaneous improv beats and raps, while SUBIT, K:G:P, pyrea b2b cosai and ReikD accompanied visitors through the afternoon with atmospheric and electronic sounds.

Thank you to everyone involved

The KulturCentrale team would like to express its sincere thanks to all the musicians, artists, helpers, partners and, above all, the visitors who made the festival what it was: a lively, colourful and heartfelt celebration that wonderfully showcased the special blend of culture, community and creativity in the Hechtviertel neighbourhood.
