At KulturCentrale Dresden, we played radicalGAME — an inspiring and playful exploration of democracy and participation that opened space for dialogue, creativity, and collective thinking.
radicalGAME is a role-play-based learning experience that invites young people to explore civic participation and critical thinking.
After a brief introduction on the topic of radicalisation — and how to recognize its factors from an individual to a societal level — the players were introduced to the different roles in the game.
Then we dived into Demostinet, a fictional country where democracy is at risk, threatened by corruption and exclusionary views. Together, we explored possible solutions, argued our points, and tried to convince one another — all while keeping our secret roles and hidden agendas.
In the end, radicalGAME helped us connect these fictional dynamics to real-world challenges, sparking meaningful discussions about democracy and civic engagement today.
