The impact of UDEW keeps growing!

Last week we implemented a session on “Decolonize Public Space – Rethinking Inclusion and Representation” at the KulturCentrale in Dresden.

Together as a group, we discussed how we could design inclusive spaces and make public areas more accessible and representative for different cultures and communities.
How is a space shaped by its past?
⚖️ Can it ever be neutral?
️ Or have public spaces always been biased?
How can we encourage critical awareness and transform the relationships between people, power, history, and memory?
We reflected on the cities we grew up in and tried to find a new perspective on how we, as young people, can rethink the spaces we’ve always known.
