About This Project

Black Light Theatre 2009

Within the framework of a youth exchange project with participants from three different countries a group of 29 young people met to get to know the most unusual form of theatre, the Black Light Theatre. The special feature for the participating youngsters was that the Black Light Theatre only uses body language, gestures and facial expressions to express the action and content, instead of spoken words.
With the help of professional theatre and music educators the young participants learned the basics of the art of Black Light Theatre.
As a highlight of the exchange they presented their new abilities at the Sun Flower Festival in several performances on a stage, in a mine lug, in front of an enthusiastic audience.
