Decolonization Workshop & Walk

3 September / 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for the Urban Decolonization Workshop & Mapping Walk!
What is the link between Dresden and colonialism? Which impact does colonialism still hold on today’s societies? What does decolonisation mean? Can art broaden our horizons?

We address all these questions in our new Urban Decolonization Workshop & Mapping Walk!
Together, let’s explore Dresden and address the colonial heritage of some of the city’s most famous monuments, from the Fürstenzug to the Yenidze.

What to expect?
🔹 An exploratory Walk, where we dive into hidden stories in urban space and invite you to see with “new eyes”.
🔹 Creative approach: All along the walk, participants are invited to see “with new eyes” and address the difficult legacy of colonialism through a creative approach.
🔹 Insightful exchanges: Let’s connect, exchange experiences and gain new perspectives!
