In addition to short guest lectures and screenings of the film portraits of the artists Aleksandra Vagabonda\, Ana Pireva\, Izabela Modrzewska\, Karolin Kutteri and Augusto Gerardi\, the ARTISTS LOUNGE is primarily about the exchange of ideas\, networking and joint project development. Let’s get creative together.  \n  \nThe “Art is Us” project which started back in March 2021 with the aim of using the transformative force of culture for community regeneration to respond to the severe impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had both on artists and the cultural sector and on social inclusion and cohesion\, invites artists\, community leaders and art educators and other professionals of the CCSs to the Art for Local Innovation and Community Building Event on 05.02.2022 at 19:00 at KulturCentrale. \n  \nIf you are an artist\, a community leader\, a cultural or creative professional or you represent a cultural/art/creative organisation and wish to connect with a creative and alternative community of artists in Dresden focused on supporting the local community through arts and cross-cultural dialogue and collaborate on multiple levels\, then you are invited to join us on Sunday\, 05.02.2023 at 14:00 at KulturCentrale (Hechstr. 17\, 01097 Dresden). \n  \nYou will have the chance to learn about the “Art is Us” project and find out how you can get involved and benefit from it as well as meet artists that were involved in the “Art is Us” project and will speak about how they interact and support their communities through their art. For this purpose the premiere showing of five short film portraits about the personal stories and social impact of five artists that were produced within the framework of this project will take place. \n  \nA few words about the “Art is Us” project \n  \nThe “Art is Us” project equips artists\, community key skills and competencies for a sustainable creative career and has provided them with the opportunity to be successful innovators in their communities through a variety of educational tools and approaches. Außerdem triffst du Kunstschaffende\, die an dem Projekt „Art is Us“ beteiligt waren und darüber sprechen\, wie sie mit ihrer Kunst die Gesellschaft beeinflussen und unterstützen. Dabei findet die Premiere von fünf filmischen Kurzportraits über die gesellschaftliche Wirkung von fünf Kunstschaffenden statt die im Rahmen dieses Projektes erzeugt worden sind. \nEin paar Worte zum „Art is Us“-Projekt \nDas „Art is Us“-Projekt vermittelt Kunstschaffenden Schlüsselqualifikationen und -kompetenzen für eine nachhaltige kreative Karriere und gibt ihnen die Möglichkeit\, durch eine Vielzahl von pädagogischen Tools und Ansätzen erfolgreiche Innovatoren in ihren Communities zu sein. SUMMARY:METAMORPHOSIS DES GEISTES - Vernissage
DESCRIPTION:„Kinder\, die mit einer Bombe spielen.“ So hat der schwedische Philosoph Nick Bostrom uns\, die heutige Menschheit\, beschrieben\, die Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) nicht nur entwickelt\, sondern sich ihr fast schon zügellos hingibt\, ohne sich über die Folgen bewusst zu sein. Das Bild ist keineswegs neu\, es zieht sich vom Golem der frühmittelalterlichen jüdischen Mystik über Mary Shelleys Frankenstein bis zum amoklaufenden Bordcomputer HAL 9000 in Stanley Kubricks Film „2001: Odyssee im Weltraum“ durch die Kulturgeschichte. Während die einen der Digitalisierung diese Schreckensmaske aufsetzen\, blüht die Kunst im virtuellen Raum regelrecht auf. Die Reflektion über die unendlichen Möglichkeiten\, die sich dank des Computers ergeben\, war das zentrale Thema der vom Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V. initiierten Digital Art Residencies. \nÜber einen Zeitraum von drei Monaten nutzten lokale und internationale KünstlerInnen digitale Kollaborationssoftware um Arbeiten zum Thema METAMORPHOSIS DES GEISTES zu kreieren. Dabei lag der Fokus auf der kreativen Adaption digitaler Technologien. Die entstanden Werke zeigen Kunst als etwas\, das zwischen mehreren Individuen und digitalen Netzwerken durch komplexe Interaktionen entsteht: eine Verschmelzung. \nTeilnehmende KünstlerInnen: Mia-Ann Böhm (Deutschland)\, Augusto Gerardi Rousset (Venezuela)\, Jakyeong Jeong (Südkorea/Deutschland) Belal Kalash (Israel)\, Oleksandra Kulikovska (Ukraine)\, Anna Mukhanova (Ukraine)\, Laura Michelle Schubert (Deutschland)\, Michael Siegmund (Deutschland)

SUMMARY:METAMORPHOSIS DES GEISTES - Vernissage
DESCRIPTION:“Children playing with a bomb.” This is how the Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom described us\, today’s humanity\, not only developing artificial intelligence (AI) but indulging in it almost without restraint\, unaware of the consequences. The image is by no means new; it runs through cultural history from the Golem of early medieval Jewish mysticism to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to the HAL 9000 on-board computer running amok in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. While some put this mask of horror on digitalisation\, art in virtual space is really flourishing. Reflecting on the infinite possibilities that arise thanks to the computer was the central theme of the Digital Art Residencies initiated by the Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V.. \nOver a period of three months\, local and international artists used digital collaboration software to create works on the theme METAMORPHOSIS OF THE MIND. The focus was on the creative adaptation of digital technologies.
