SUMMARY:Midsommar – Ausstellung von Jean Kirsten
DESCRIPTION:Im Frühjahr des Jahres 1912 begegneten sich Suzanne Perrottet\, Meisterschülerin bei Émile Jacques-Dalcroze in Hellerau\, und Rudolf Laban im Sanatorium von Lahmann auf dem Weißen Hirsch und verliebten sich. \nEin Jahr später organisierten sie den ersten Sommertanzkurs auf dem Monte Verità bei Ascona in der Schweiz. Nach Ausbruch des ersten Weltkrieges in der Schweiz isoliert\, entwickelte Rudolf Laban zusammen mit Suzanne Perrottet\, Maja Lederer\, Mary Wigman u. a. die Theorie des modernen Tanzes. Dieser wurde im Dezember des Jahres 2023 auf die UNESCO-Liste des immateriellen Weltkulturerbes gesetzt\, aber der Name Laban ist nicht wirklich im Bewusstsein der deutschen Öffentlichkeit. \nDiese Ausstellung möchte an diese Begegnung von Suzanne und Rudolf erinnern. \n  \nDer Konzeptkünstler\, Jean Kirsten\, wurde 1966 in Dresden geboren\, Seit 1990 studierte er Malerei und Grafik bei Günter Horlbeck an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Dresden. 1995 wurde er Meisterschüler von Günther Hornig und war sein einziger Assistent von 1998 bis 2004. Er ist Mitglied der Laban Guild International. Seit 2009 beschäftigt sich Jean Kirsten mit der Raum-Harmonielehre von Rudolf Laban und seiner Kinetographie\, auch Labanotation genannt. \nEr hatte bisher über 100 Einzelausstellungen auf vier Kontinenten (Europa\, Nord- und Südamerika\, Australien) \n  \n  \n04. Die Jam Session findet jeden Donnerstag ab 18:30 Uhr statt und jeden letzten Donnerstag im Monat gibt es ab 20 Uhr ein Jam Session Konzert in der KulturCentrale.\nInternationale und lokale Musiker treten live auf unserer Bühne auf und freuen sich über jeden kreativen Beitrag\, sei es ein Maultrommel-Solo\, eine Coverversion ihres Lieblingssongs oder eine spontane musikalische Einlage. Thematische Grundlage der erstmals gezeigten Sammlung ist die Entfremdung der Menschheit von ihren natürlichen Ursprüngen\, verursacht durch den vorherrschenden Konsumzwang und die permanente Reizüberflutung in unserer Gesellschaft. Der Mensch hat das Verständnis für die ursprüngliche\, natürliche Einstellung zum Leben verloren\, was zu seiner Zerstörung geführt hat und weiterhin führt. Dieses Verhalten erfordert nun als Reaktion einen schnellen und intensiven Natur- und Tierschutz. Diese Gedanken spiegeln sich in der multimedialen Kunst wider\, die Gemälde\, Kapuzenpullover und Fotografien umfasst. Mit der Kleidung wählt Laura Michelle Schubert eine unkonventionelle Form der Informationsweitergabe\, denn durch das Entwerfen und Tragen der Kapuzenpullis in der Öffentlichkeit erreichen diese Gedanken die Gesellschaft ohne Aufhebens und größeren Aufwand. Much points to the fact that everything is under the rule of the four elements: 4 temperaments\, 4 humours\, 4 seasons. Mixed in different ways\, they can represent the whole world. From these\, eternally and unchangeably existing\, the great principle of order of our occidental thinking develops and is only devalued by modern science. \nWith the series “The Four Elements”\, the artist wants to express her appreciation of the limited treasures of our earth\, to recall the mythological understanding\, which was characterised by gratitude and veneration and the inner knowledge that the elements have always been associated with climate\, weather and their destructive power. It is the contrast of two different worlds that interests Jana Pommer-Semper\, the relationship between natural material and synthetic colours\, as well as the depiction of multi-layered worked-through surfaces versus clarity.

DESCRIPTION:“Children playing with a bomb.” This is how the Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom described us\, today’s humanity\, not only developing artificial intelligence (AI) but indulging in it almost without restraint\, unaware of the consequences. The image is by no means new; it runs through cultural history from the Golem of early medieval Jewish mysticism to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to the HAL 9000 on-board computer running amok in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. While some put this mask of horror on digitalisation\, art in virtual space is really flourishing. Reflecting on the infinite possibilities that arise thanks to the computer was the central theme of the Digital Art Residencies initiated by the Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V.. \nOver a period of three months\, local and international artists used digital collaboration software to create works on the theme METAMORPHOSIS OF THE MIND. The focus was on the creative adaptation of digital technologies. Die Reflektion über die unendlichen Möglichkeiten\, die sich dank des Computers ergeben\, war das zentrale Thema der vom Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V. initiierten Digital Art Residencies. \nÜber einen Zeitraum von drei Monaten nutzten lokale und internationale KünstlerInnen digitale Kollaborationssoftware um Arbeiten zum Thema METAMORPHOSIS DES GEISTES zu kreieren. Dabei lag der Fokus auf der kreativen Adaption digitaler Technologien. DESCRIPTION:In der Überzeugung\, dass Musik eine wichtige Rolle bei der Bekämpfung von Stereotypen und Diskriminierung spielt\, feiert die CULTURE JAM SESSION in der KulturCentrale die kulturelle und musikalische Vielfalt. Die Jam Session findet jeden Donnerstag ab 18:30 Uhr statt und jeden letzten Donnerstag im Monat gibt es ab 20 Uhr ein Jam Session Konzert in der KulturCentrale.\nInternationale und lokale Musiker treten live auf unserer Bühne auf und freuen sich über jeden kreativen Beitrag\, sei es ein Maultrommel-Solo\, eine Coverversion ihres Lieblingssongs oder eine spontane musikalische Einlage. Also packt das Instrument eurer Wahl ein und feiert Live-Musik mit dem Team des Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. und seinen Gästen aus aller Welt. Klavier\, Gitarren\, Cajon\, Verstärker und Mikrofone warten auf dich!\nDas Team hinter der Culture Jam Session sind die Mitglieder des Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. in Zusammenarbeit mit Izabela Modrzewska.

SUMMARY:„Revolution der Geduld“ Lesung und Gespräch über die Proteste in Belarus und den Krieg in der Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:Im Sommer 2020 gingen die Menschen in Belarus auf die Straße\, um für Demokratie und Freiheit zu kämpfen. Es gelang ihnen nicht\, sofort zu siegen. Zehntausende wurden und werden immer noch festgenommen und zu langen Haftstrafen verurteilt. Tausende sitzen nun in den Gefängnissen des postsowjetischen Landes. Mehr als eine Million Belarussen verließen ihr Land. Jedoch spürt man keine Niederlage\, denn etwas Unumkehrbares ist jedoch bereits geschehen und geht nun beharrlich weiter: die Geburt und die willige Selbstgestaltung einer Zivilgesellschaft jenseits sanktionierter Machtgefüge – im Lande selbst\, im Untergrund und im Exil. Umso mehr jetzt\, während des Krieges in Ukraine\, in den das diktatorisch regierte Belarus direkt involviert ist. \n  \nHeinrich Kirschbaum\, Professor für Slavische Literaturen und Kulturen an der Universität Freiburg\, beschäftigt sich genau mit dieser andauernden „Revolution der Geduld“\, so der Titel jüngst bei „Matthes und Seitz“ erschienen Buchs\, das von der belarussischen Kultur\, Geschichte und Poesie\, jedoch nicht zuletzt auch von der eigenen Betroffenheit handelt. \n  \nPhoto by Andrew Keymaster on Unsplash

SUMMARY:Workshop von Anna Mukhanova – ukrainische dekorative Malerei
DESCRIPTION:Anna Mukhanova ist eine Performance-Künstlerin\, Sängerin und Malerin aus Odesa\, Ukraine\, die jetzt als Geflüchtete in Dresden lebt. Im Rahmen einer geplanten Workshop-Reihe über ukrainische Traditionen und Kultur wird sie einen kostenlosen Workshop über die Petrykivka-Malerei abhalten\, einen traditionellen ukrainischen dekorativen Malstil\, der zur Verzierung von Hauswänden oder Haushaltsgegenständen verwendet wurde\, sich heute aber auch als moderne Kunstform entwickelt. \nDer erste Teil des Workshops besteht aus einem Vortrag über diese Kunstform\, während die Teilnehmenden im zweiten Teil selbst malen können. Am Ende werden alle ein oder sogar mehrere Bilder haben\, die sie mit nach Hause nehmen können.\nDer Workshop findet am Samstag 17.12. um 16:00 Uhr in der KulturCentrale\, Hechtstr. 17 statt und endet gegen 18:00 Uhr.  \nWir bitten um Anmeldung\, damit wir wissen wie viele Menschen dabei sind:\n   \nWenn du das Kunstprojekt unterstützen möchtest\, kannst du eine kleine Spende für die verwendeten Farben\, Stifte und Papier da lassen.

SUMMARY:Workshop von Anna Mukhanova - ukrainische dekorative Malerei
DESCRIPTION:Anna Mukhanova is a performance artist\, singer and painter from Odesa\, Ukraine\, who lives now as a refugee in Dresden. As part of a planned series of workshops about Ukrainian traditions and culture\, she will hold a free of charge workshop about Petrykivka painting\, a traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style\, that was used to decorate house walls or household items\, but now develops also as modern art form. \nThe first part of the workshop will be a lecture about the art form\, while in the second part the participants will be able to paint for themselves. At the end everybody will have one or even more paintings that they can take home.  \nThe workshop will take place on Saturday the 17.12. at 16:00 in the KulturCentrale\, Hechtstr. 17 and finish around 18:00.  \nPlease register\, so that we know how many people are coming: https://form.jotform.com/223344545549360   \nIf you want to support the art project you can make a small donation for the colours\, pencils and paper used.
