DESCRIPTION:save me. \nAusstellung von Laura Michelle Schubert \n  \nDie Full Moon Gallery lädt am 6. April zur Vernissage “save me.” der Dresdner Künstlerin Laura Michelle Schubert ein. Thematische Grundlage der erstmals gezeigten Sammlung ist die Entfremdung der Menschheit von ihren natürlichen Ursprüngen\, verursacht durch den vorherrschenden Konsumzwang und die permanente Reizüberflutung in unserer Gesellschaft. Der Mensch hat das Verständnis für die ursprüngliche\, natürliche Einstellung zum Leben verloren\, was zu seiner Zerstörung geführt hat und weiterhin führt. Dieses Verhalten erfordert nun als Reaktion einen schnellen und intensiven Natur- und Tierschutz. Diese Gedanken spiegeln sich in der multimedialen Kunst wider\, die Gemälde\, Kapuzenpullover und Fotografien umfasst. Mit der Kleidung wählt Laura Michelle Schubert eine unkonventionelle Form der Informationsweitergabe\, denn durch das Entwerfen und Tragen der Kapuzenpullis in der Öffentlichkeit erreichen diese Gedanken die Gesellschaft ohne Aufhebens und größeren Aufwand. With the clothes\, Laura Michelle Schubert chooses an unconventional form of passing on information\, because by designing and wearing the hoodies in public\, these thoughts reach society without fuss and greater effort. DESCRIPTION:DE \nDie Finissage der Werkschau DIE VIER ELEMENTE von Jana Pommer-Semper findet am 04. April 2023 statt\, bei welcher Kunstbegeisterte final die Ausstellung der talentierten Künstlerin bewundern können. Jana Pommer-Semper materialisiert den Gedanken\, dass die Welt unter der Herrschaft der 4 Elemente steht und welche Macht diese über uns haben. Durch ihre Kunstwerke lässt sie den Betrachtenden die Bedeutung von Dankbarkeit und Ehrfurcht gegenüber den begrenzten Schätzen unserer Erde verstehen. Die Finissage wird des Weiteren von authentischer\, einfühlsamer Live-Musik der Sängerin und Songwriterin LonA begleitet. Ihre Musik in Kombination mit der Ausstellung garantiert Genuss für die Sinne und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. \n  \nDie Frage nach dem Wesen der Welt\, dem\, was auf immer Bestand hat\, sind uralte Menschheitsfragen. Nur vier Elemente brauchten die alten Griechen\, um die Welt zu erklären. Die diesbezüglichen Betrachtungen von Aristoteles und Platon hatten bis ins 18. Jahrhundert Bestand. Glaubt man Jana Pommer-Semper\, wird heute unser Wissen durch Forschung und Wissenschaft zwar größer\, doch entfernt das sogenannte Wissen uns fortwährend von der direkten Verbindung zur Natur. Vieles weist daraufhin\, dass alles unter einer Herrschaft der vier Elemente steht: 4 Temperamente\, 4 Körpersäfte\, 4 Jahreszeiten. Unterschiedlich gemischt können sie die ganze Welt abbilden. Aus diesen\, ewig und unabänderlich existierend\, entwickelt sich das große Ordnungsprinzip unseres abendländischen Denkens und wird erst durch die neuzeitliche Wissenschaft entwertet. \nMit der Serie „Die vier Elemente“\, möchte die Künstlerin ihre Wertschätzung gegenüber den begrenzten Schätzen unserer Erde ausdrücken\, sich auf das mythologische Verständnis rückbesinnen\, welches von Dankbarkeit und Verehrung geprägt war und dem inneren Wissen darum\, dass die Elemente immer auch mit Klima\, Wetter und ihrer Zerstörungskraft in Verbindung gebracht wurden. Jana Pommer-Semper materializes the idea that the world is under the dominance of the 4 elements and the amount of power they have on us. Through her artwork\, she allows the spectator to understand the importance of gratitude and reverence towards the limited treasures of our Earth. Her music in combination with the exhibition guarantees enjoyment for the senses and a wonderful atmosphere. \n  \nThe question of the essence of the world\, that which endures forever\, are ancient questions of humanity. It took the ancient Greeks only four elements to explain the world. Aristotle’s and Plato’s reflections in this regard lasted until the 18th century. If Jana Pommer-Semper is to be believed\, today our knowledge is increasing through research and science\, but so-called knowledge is continually distancing us from the direct connection to nature. Much points to the fact that everything is under the rule of the four elements: 4 temperaments\, 4 humours\, 4 seasons. Mixed in different ways\, they can represent the whole world. From these\, eternally and unchangeably existing\, the great principle of order of our occidental thinking develops and is only devalued by modern science. \nWith the series “The Four Elements”\, the artist wants to express her appreciation of the limited treasures of our earth\, to recall the mythological understanding\, which was characterised by gratitude and veneration and the inner knowledge that the elements have always been associated with climate\, weather and their destructive power. It is the contrast of two different worlds that interests Jana Pommer-Semper\, the relationship between natural material and synthetic colours\, as well as the depiction of multi-layered worked-through surfaces versus clarity.

DESCRIPTION:DE \n  \nDie Full Moon Gallery zeigt im März unter dem Titel DIE VIER ELEMENTE eine Werkschau der Künstlerin Jana Pommer-Semper\, welche am 11. März feierlich zum Vollmond eröffnet wird. \nDie Frage nach dem Wesen der Welt\, dem\, was auf immer Bestand hat\, sind uralte Menschheitsfragen. Nur vier Elemente brauchten die alten Griechen\, um die Welt zu erklären. Die diesbezüglichen Betrachtungen von Aristoteles und Platon hatten bis ins 18. Jahrhundert Bestand. Glaubt man Jana Pommer-Semper\, wird heute unser Wissen durch Forschung und Wissenschaft zwar größer\, doch entfernt das sogenannte Wissen uns fortwährend von der direkten Verbindung zur Natur. Vieles weist daraufhin\, dass alles unter einer Herrschaft der vier Elemente steht: 4 Temperamente\, 4 Körpersäfte\, 4 Jahreszeiten. Unterschiedlich gemischt können sie die ganze Welt abbilden. Aus diesen\, ewig und unabänderlich existierend\, entwickelt sich das große Ordnungsprinzip unseres abendländischen Denkens und wird erst durch die neuzeitliche Wissenschaft entwertet. \nMit der Serie „Die vier Elemente“\, möchte die Künstlerin ihre Wertschätzung gegenüber den begrenzten Schätzen unserer Erde ausdrücken\, sich auf das mythologische Verständnis rückbesinnen\, welches von Dankbarkeit und Verehrung geprägt war und dem inneren Wissen darum\, dass die Elemente immer auch mit Klima\, Wetter und ihrer Zerstörungskraft in Verbindung gebracht wurden. Es ist der Kontrast zweier verschiedener Welten\, der Jana Pommer-Semper interessiert\, das Verhältnis zwischen natürlichem Material und synthetischen Farben\, sowie der Darstellung vielschichtiger durchgearbeiteter Flächen gegenüber der Klarheit. \n  \nEN \n  \nIn March\, the Full Moon Gallery will present the exhibition by the artist Jana Pommer-Semper entitled THE FOUR ELEMENTS\, which will be celebrated on the occasion of the full moon on 11 March. \nThe question of the essence of the world\, that which endures forever\, are ancient questions of humanity. It took the ancient Greeks only four elements to explain the world. Aristotle’s and Plato’s reflections in this regard lasted until the 18th century. If Jana Pommer-Semper is to be believed\, today our knowledge is increasing through research and science\, but so-called knowledge is continually distancing us from the direct connection to nature. Much points to the fact that everything is under the rule of the four elements: 4 temperaments\, 4 humours\, 4 seasons. Mixed in different ways\, they can represent the whole world. From these\, eternally and unchangeably existing\, the great principle of order of our occidental thinking develops and is only devalued by modern science. \nWith the series “The Four Elements”\, the artist wants to express her appreciation of the limited treasures of our earth\, to recall the mythological understanding\, which was characterised by gratitude and veneration and the inner knowledge that the elements have always been associated with climate\, weather and their destructive power. It is the contrast of two different worlds that interests Jana Pommer-Semper\, the relationship between natural material and synthetic colours\, as well as the depiction of multi-layered worked-through surfaces versus clarity.

DESCRIPTION:“Children playing with a bomb.” This is how the Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom described us\, today’s humanity\, not only developing artificial intelligence (AI) but indulging in it almost without restraint\, unaware of the consequences. The image is by no means new; it runs through cultural history from the Golem of early medieval Jewish mysticism to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to the HAL 9000 on-board computer running amok in Stanley Kubrick’s film “2001: A Space Odyssey”. While some put this mask of horror on digitalisation\, art in virtual space is really flourishing. Reflecting on the infinite possibilities that arise thanks to the computer was the central theme of the Digital Art Residencies initiated by the Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V.. \nOver a period of three months\, local and international artists used digital collaboration software to create works on the theme METAMORPHOSIS OF THE MIND. The focus was on the creative adaptation of digital technologies. Während die einen der Digitalisierung diese Schreckensmaske aufsetzen\, blüht die Kunst im virtuellen Raum regelrecht auf. Die Reflektion über die unendlichen Möglichkeiten\, die sich dank des Computers ergeben\, war das zentrale Thema der vom Jugend und Kulturprojekt e.V. initiierten Digital Art Residencies. \nÜber einen Zeitraum von drei Monaten nutzten lokale und internationale KünstlerInnen digitale Kollaborationssoftware um Arbeiten zum Thema METAMORPHOSIS DES GEISTES zu kreieren. Dabei lag der Fokus auf der kreativen Adaption digitaler Technologien. SUMMARY:„Revolution der Geduld“ Lesung und Gespräch über die Proteste in Belarus und den Krieg in der Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:Im Sommer 2020 gingen die Menschen in Belarus auf die Straße\, um für Demokratie und Freiheit zu kämpfen. Es gelang ihnen nicht\, sofort zu siegen. Zehntausende wurden und werden immer noch festgenommen und zu langen Haftstrafen verurteilt. Tausende sitzen nun in den Gefängnissen des postsowjetischen Landes. Mehr als eine Million Belarussen verließen ihr Land. Jedoch spürt man keine Niederlage\, denn etwas Unumkehrbares ist jedoch bereits geschehen und geht nun beharrlich weiter: die Geburt und die willige Selbstgestaltung einer Zivilgesellschaft jenseits sanktionierter Machtgefüge – im Lande selbst\, im Untergrund und im Exil. DESCRIPTION:Im Rahmen der Jüdischen Woche Dresden präsentiert der Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. die Dokumentarfilme: Jüdisches Leben in Athen\, Dresden & Hamburg \n  \nAntisemitismus ist in Dresden sowie im restlichen Sachsen auch heute noch weit verbreitet – um diesem Problem nachhaltig zu begegnen\, sind die Vermittlung von Hintergrundwissen und die Sensibilisierung für jüdische Geschichte\, Traditionen und Bräuche vor und nach dem Holocaust unerlässlich. Hierzu eignet sich „Oral History“\, Erfahrungsgeschichte die eine persönliche\, nahbare und beinahe „erlebbare“ Darstellung von historischen Ereignissen ermöglicht. \n  \nDie Dokumentarfilmreihe des Projekts „HANNAH – Challenging and Debunking Antisemitic Myths“ gibt den Zuschauern die Möglichkeit\, die Geschichte\, die Kultur und das moderne Leben der jüdischen Gemeinden in fünf europäischen Städten zu erkunden: Athen\, Dresden\, Hamburg\, Krakau und Novi Sad.\nHANNAH besteht aus fünf Episoden\, die sich jeweils auf eine der fünf europäischen Städte konzentrieren. \n  \n  \nEpisode Dresden\nAudio: Englisch & Deutsch\nUntertitel: Englisch und Deutsch\nDauer: 00:21:51 \n  \nDie Episode über Dresden gibt den Zuschauern die Möglichkeit\, mit dem Historiker Daniel Ristau eine kurze Reise durch die Geschichte der jüdischen Gemeinde von Dresden zu erleben. Der zweite Teil der Dokumentation widmet sich der Kultur\, dem religiösen Leben und den Festen der jüdischen Gemeinde in Dresden sowie den aktuellen Herausforderungen\, mit denen die jüdische Gemeinde in Dresden heute konfrontiert ist. Schließlich wird das Phänomen des Antisemitismus in Dresden und im Freistaat Sachsen von Dr. Thomas Feist analysiert\, während verschiedene Strategien und Praktiken zur Bekämpfung des Antisemitismus von Vertretern zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen\, der Stadtverwaltung Dresden\, der Jüdischen Gemeinde und der Sächsischen Staatsregierung für jüdisches Leben vorgestellt werden. \n  \n  \nEpisode Hamburg \nAudio: Englisch & Deutsch\nUntertitel: Englisch und Deutsch\nDauer: 00:18:40 \n  \nDie Episode über Hamburg gibt anhand von Interviews mit Historikern\, Mitgliedern der jüdischen Gemeinde und Vertretern der Zivilgesellschaft wie Rabbiner Bistritzky\, Stefan Hensel\, Carmen Bisotti und weiteren einen Überblick über die Geschichte der Juden von ihrer ersten Ansiedlung in Hamburg bis heute\, das heutige Leben der Juden in Hamburg sowie das Phänomen des Antisemitismus in Hamburg. Zusätzlich werden ebenfalls Hamburgs Strategien und politische Maßnahmen\, Projekte der Zivilgesellschaft\, Austauschprogramme und Sensibilisierungsmaßnahmen zur Bekämpfung des Antisemitismus vorgestellt. \n  \n  \nEpisode Athen\nAudio: Englisch\nUntertitel: Griechisch\nDauer: 00:20:04 \n  \nDie Episode über Athen gibt den Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauern die Möglichkeit\, eine kurze Reise durch die Geschichte der Jüdischen Gemeinde Athen zu erleben\, wie sie von ihren Vertreterinnen und Vertretern\, insbesondere dem Präsidenten der JCA\, Alvertos Taraboulous\, und dem Direktor der JCA\, Taly Maira\, beschrieben wird. Der Rabbiner von Athen\, Gabriel Negrin\, und die Direktorin des JMG\, Zanet Battinou\, erörtern kurz historische Aspekte des jüdischen Lebens in Athen und die Rolle des Jüdischen Museums Griechenlands bei der Förderung des jüdischen Lebens in Griechenland und der Bekämpfung des Antisemitismus. Der zweite Teil des Dokumentarfilms widmet sich der Kultur\, dem religiösen Leben\, aber auch dem Gedenken an den Holocaust und Trauma. Diese Themen wurden auch mit der renommierten zeitgenössischen Künstlerin Artemis Alcalay diskutiert. Die JMG-Forscherin Dr. Alexandra Patrikiou berichtet über die Geschichte des Antisemitismus in Griechenland sowie über die aktuellen antisemitischen Herausforderungen\, mit denen die griechische Gesellschaft konfrontiert ist.
