DESCRIPTION:“`html \n\nDE \nNO DIRECTION\nHana Hazem Arabi \nHana Hazem Arabi ist ein syrischer multidisziplinärer Künstler mit Sitz in Deutschland. Seine künstlerische Praxis umfasst Malerei\, Installation\, Performance und Videokunst und beschäftigt sich mit Themen wie Identität\, Vertreibung\, Freiheit\, dem Körper und dem Verhältnis zwischen Individuum und Gesellschaft. \n2019 begann Arabi sein Studium an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig (HGB)\, wo er seine künstlerische Praxis medienübergreifend weiterentwickelte. Während seines Studiums war er an zahlreichen Ausstellungen und künstlerischen Projekten in Deutschland und international beteiligt\, darunter „Verletzbare Subjekte“ im Zentrum für Aktuelle Kunst in der Zitadelle Berlin. Im Februar 2026 schloss er sein Studium an der HGB Leipzig ab. Seine Arbeiten wurden unter anderem in Leipzig\, Dresden\, Berlin und Wien präsentiert. \nNO DIRECTION ist eine Serie abstrakter Malereien mit subtilen surrealen Elementen\, die sich mit dem Zustand der Orientierungslosigkeit auseinandersetzt – geografisch\, psychologisch und existenziell. \nÜber Jahrhunderte hinweg orientierten sich Menschen am Sonnenstand\, an Sternbildern oder am Wind. Heute ist die Richtung jederzeit verfügbar – digital berechnet\, präzise markiert und scheinbar eindeutig. Ein kurzer Blick auf das Smartphone genügt\, und der Weg erscheint. \nDoch was geschieht\, wenn dieses System nicht mehr greift? Wenn kein Signal vorhanden ist\, wenn der Himmel dunkel bleibt und die einzige Anweisung eine vage Geste ins Ungewisse ist? \nDie Werkserie entstand aus einer persönlichen Erfahrung\, in der Richtung nicht länger Koordinaten bedeutete\, sondern Instinkt. Orientierung wurde zu etwas Fragilem – zu einer Projektion zwischen Hoffnung und Angst. \nIn den Arbeiten lösen sich räumliche Strukturen auf. Formen tauchen auf und verschwinden wieder\, Licht bricht durch die Oberfläche\, ohne einen klaren Pfad zu definieren. Die Malerei selbst wird zu einem Akt der Navigation – zwischen Bewegung und Stillstand\, zwischen Kontrolle und Loslassen. \nNO DIRECTION versteht sich weniger als geografische Erzählung denn als Reflexion über einen inneren Zustand. His artistic practice encompasses painting\, installation\, performance\, and video art\, exploring themes such as identity\, displacement\, freedom\, the body\, and the relationship between the individual and society. \nIn 2019\, Arabi began studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB)\, where he further developed his artistic practice across different media. During his studies\, he participated in numerous exhibitions and artistic projects in Germany and internationally\, including “Verletzbare Subjekte” at the Center for Contemporary Art at the Zitadelle Berlin. He graduated from HGB Leipzig in February 2026. His work has been presented in Leipzig\, Dresden\, Berlin\, Vienna\, and other cities. \nNO DIRECTION is a series of abstract paintings with subtle surreal elements that explores the state of disorientation — geographically\, psychologically\, and existentially. \nFor centuries\, people have navigated by observing the position of the sun\, constellations\, or the wind. Today\, direction is available at all times — digitally calculated\, precisely marked\, and seemingly unambiguous. A quick glance at a smartphone is enough\, and the way forward appears. \nBut what happens when this system no longer works? When there is no signal\, when the sky remains dark\, and the only instruction is a vague gesture towards the unknown? \nThe series emerged from a personal experience in which direction no longer meant coordinates\, but instinct. Orientation became something fragile — a projection between hope and fear. \nIn the works\, spatial structures dissolve. Forms appear and disappear again\, light breaks through the surface\, without defining a clear path. The painting itself becomes an act of navigation — between movement and stillness\, between control and letting go. \nNO DIRECTION understands itself less as a geographical narrative than as a reflection on an inner state. Seine künstlerische Praxis umfasst Malerei\, Grafik und Bildhauerei. Seine Arbeiten wurden in Galerien und Ausstellungen unter anderem in New York\, Paris\, Mailand\, Prag\, Seattle und Wien präsentiert. \nJana Volková studierte im Atelier von Jiří Máška\, wo sie die Grundlagen ihrer künstlerischen Praxis entwickelte\, bevor sie zu einer eigenen\, unverwechselbaren Bildsprache fand. In ihren Arbeiten verbindet sie abstrakte Formen\, Strukturen und Farben mit einem experimentellen Einsatz von Mischtechniken auf Leinwand. \n  \nNEW GENERATION / Means of Art bringt zwei Generationen und zwei eigenständige künstlerische Positionen in einen Dialog zwischen Surrealismus und abstraktem Funktionalismus. \nJiří Máškas vielseitige künstlerische Praxis schöpft aus den imaginativen Möglichkeiten des Surrealismus und erschafft Bildwelten\, in denen Realität\, Symbolik und Vorstellungskraft aufeinandertreffen. Jana Volková nähert sich der Abstraktion durch eine experimentelle Sprache aus Form\, Struktur\, Farbe und Materialität und entwickelt Kompositionen\, die sich zwischen Spontaneität und Konstruktion bewegen. \nDas Zusammentreffen ihrer Arbeiten macht sowohl die künstlerische Verbindung als auch die individuelle Ausdruckskraft sichtbar.
