Expanding the Reach of the ManUp4Her Project

  |   News

We all know that gender-based violence (GBV) shows no sign of slowing down. According to the latest EU Gender-Based Violence Survey (Eurostat, FRA, and EIGE, 2024), one in three women in the EU-27 (30.7%) have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

These numbers highlight the widespread nature of GBV, which requires urgent attention.

ManUp4Her is committed to involving everyone in the fight against GBV, especially men—who have traditionally been excluded from this crucial conversation.
By engaging men, the project seeks to step by step broaden the target audience and create tools and practices that encourage participation across all segments of society, ultimately fostering safer spaces for all.

On the 28th of February, JKPeV hosted an online webinar to share key findings from the ManUp4Her project. The session included practical tools and engaging activities designed to help participants recognize GBV, understand its impact, and actively contribute to its prevention.

ManUp4Her aims to challenge societal norms and empower everyone to take an active role in ending GBV. It’s time for all of us to get involved in building a safer, more inclusive world for everyone.

Thank you all for joining our online workshop “From Witness to Active Bystander – United against Gender-Based Violence”. Your active participation and insightful contributions made the session truly engaging and impactful. We appreciate your time and commitment to fostering dialogue and awareness on this critical issue.
