Fête de la Musique @KulturCentrale
20 June / 3:00 pm – 21 June / 11:30 pm
Two days of music, cinema, creativity and socialising
For Fête de la Musique, the KulturCentrale becomes a hub for Franco-German exchange: over two days, music, film and creative workshops come together to create a space for encounters between languages, perspectives and people.
With cinema, karaoke, collaborative art projects, choirs and live concerts, an open festival programme takes shape, inviting people to join in, listen and come together. Amidst French sounds, creative formats and communal moments, the KulturCentrale becomes a vibrant meeting place full of voices, images and music.

14:00 – 17:00 | Workshops | Zines & Perspectives – “My City. My Country. Mon Voisin”
What does Europe feel like in everyday life – and how can this be expressed creatively? In open workshops, participants create their own zines, collages and small artistic works. Through text, photography, drawing and colour, personal perspectives on the city, living together and cultural exchange take shape.
The workshops invite participants to get creative together, meet new people and share different perspectives – regardless of language or prior experience.
17:00 – 20:00 | Workshop | Collage & Rencontres
In the early evening, a multitude of individual ideas will come together to form a shared image: visitors, neighbours and guests are invited to collaborate on creating a large-scale collage. Using pens, paints, paper and ink, an open-ended work of art will take shape step by step, bringing together thoughts, symbols, words and drawings.
The “Collage of Encounters” is conceived as an open, participatory space: anyone can join in spontaneously, add something or respond to what has already been created. This gives rise to a shared creative process that fosters exchange and brings to light different perspectives on coexistence, diversity and living together.
*Participation in the workshops is free of charge. As places are limited, we ask that you register in advance. Click here to register!
20:00 – 21:00 | Cinéma Français
In the evening, the KulturCentrale transforms into a cinema: French films and short films will be screened, ranging from social commentary to poetry and contemporary culture. The films offer different perspectives on community life, identity and creative forms of expression, inviting us to discover new stories together.
21:00 – 22:00 | Live | Karaoke à la Française
Afterwards, it’s time to sing: at the French karaoke, chansons meet pop, and classics meet new favourite songs. Amidst familiar melodies and spontaneous sing-alongs, a musical evening full of light-heartedness and connection unfolds.
Whether loud or soft, confident or improvised – the open stage invites everyone to join in and round off the evening together.

Concerts featuring Electric Twist & myviolet, among others.
Sunday is all about live music: a variety of bands and artists bring indie, rock, electronic influences and atmospheric sounds to the KulturCentrale stage. Between danceable rhythms, quiet moments and energetic live sets, a concert evening full of encounters and shared festival moments unfolds. Further acts are part of the programme.
15:00 – 16:30 | Electric Twist
Electric Twist is a groove-driven rock trio from Dresden. The band combines raw energy with precise rhythms, creating a sound that blends dynamism, emotion and spontaneity. Different musical backgrounds come together here and merge into intense live moments fuelled by connection and shared energy.
Between driving grooves, explosive passages and atmospheric moments, a concert emerges that sets both body and mood in motion.
17:00 – 18:00 | myviolet.
“Melodic. Edgy. And some rebellious energy.” – myviolet. combines rock with ethereal soundscapes, driving rhythms and powerful guitar riffs. At times clean and solemn, at times distorted and loud, the band moves between a melancholic atmosphere and energetic intensity.
The songs tell of the light and dark facets of life and create a soundtrack that blends road trip, weekend wrap-up and a spirit of new beginnings. The result is a concert evening characterised by intimacy, energy and emotional dynamism – serving as the musical finale to the Fête de la Musique at the KulturCentrale.
