Jüdisches Leben in Sachsen sichtbar machen

Perspektiven für Schule, Jugendarbeit und politische Bildung

Wie kann Bildungsarbeit dazu beitragen, antisemitischen Narrativen wirksam zu begegnen? Welche Rolle spielen jüdische Geschichte, Gegenwart und lokale Bezüge in Sachsen für Schule, Jugendarbeit und politische Bildung?

Im Rahmen unseres 30-monatigen Projekts „Jüdisches Leben in Sachsen sichtbar machen – Workshops gegen Antisemitismus“ laden wir herzlich zu einer Online-Fachveranstaltung ein. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Ergebnisse unserer Projektarbeit sowie die Vorstellung einer neu entwickelten Handreichung für die Bildungsarbeit.

Gemeinsam mit Fachkräften aus Schule, Jugendarbeit, politischer Bildung und Zivilgesellschaft möchten wir zentrale Erkenntnisse teilen, praktische Erfahrungen aus den Workshops diskutieren und gemeinsam darüber sprechen, wie die entwickelten Ansätze in unterschiedlichen Bildungskontexten eingesetzt werden können.

Ein besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf dem Austausch: In thematischen Kleingruppen werden zentrale Fragen aus der Praxis vertieft – von jüdischer Identität über antisemitische Narrative bis hin zu konkreten Ansätzen der Antisemitismusprävention. Die Ergebnisse werden anschließend gemeinsam zusammengeführt und in den größeren Kontext der Handlungsempfehlungen eingeordnet.

Zum Abschluss stellen wir außerdem kurze Projektbeispiele aus der Praxis vor und bieten Raum für Vernetzung und Austausch zwischen den Teilnehmenden.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Lehrkräfte aller Schulformen, Schulsozialarbeiter:innen, Fachkräfte der Jugendarbeit, Multiplikator:innen der politischen Bildung sowie Vertreter:innen von Bildungsinstitutionen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Initiativen. Auch Interessierte aus Verwaltung, Wissenschaft und der breiten Öffentlichkeit in Sachsen sind herzlich willkommen.

Making Jewish life in Saxony visible

Perspectives for schools, youth work and political education

How can educational work help to effectively counter anti-Semitic narratives? What role do Jewish history, the present day and local connections in Saxony play in schools, youth work and political education?

As part of our 30-month project “Making Jewish Life in Saxony Visible – Workshops Against Anti-Semitism”, we cordially invite you to an online specialist event. The focus will be on the results of our project work and the presentation of a newly developed guide for educational work.

Together with professionals from schools, youth work, political education and civil society, we would like to share key findings, discuss practical experiences from the workshops and talk together about how the approaches developed can be applied in different educational contexts.

There will be a particular focus on exchange: in small thematic groups, key practical questions will be explored in depth – ranging from Jewish identity and anti-Semitic narratives to concrete approaches to preventing anti-Semitism. The findings will then be collated and placed within the broader context of recommendations for action.

To conclude, we will also present brief practical project examples and provide space for networking and exchange among participants.

The event is aimed at teachers from all types of schools, school social workers, youth workers, political education advocates, and representatives of educational institutions and civil society initiatives. Interested parties from the public sector, academia and the general public in Saxony are also warmly welcome.
